U.S. News and World Report's ranking factored in affordability, access to the outdoors, and proximity to larger metro areas. Out of the top 150 cities in the U.S., Harrisburg ranked 38th overall. Last year, Harrisburg ranked number 2 on the list of "best places to retire" just behind Lancaster.
