Harrisburg International Airport was awarded $5.5 million, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) announced on Monday. The airport was awarded the money by the Federal Aviation Administration from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Casey said the money will be used to upgrade the baggage handling system and improve air travel efficiency at HIA. 'Harrisburg International Airport serves one of the fastest-growing regions of Pennsylvania, connecting south central Pennsylvania with the country and the world,' Casey said in a news release.
