The Pennsylvania Health Care Association and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology are partnering to help long-term care workers gain new degrees and skills and qualify for better jobs in health care. The PHCA, which represents for-profit nursing homes, said the tuition benefits will put nursing homes on better footing in terms of offering benefits that can help attract and retain workers. Under the partnership, long-term care workers employed by PHCA members can qualify for up to 25% tuition discounts for certain healthcare-related classes, programs and certificates, including graduate programs.
